What do you do in marketing/communications? What are your day-to-day responsibilities like?
I manage the digital presence for about 40 clients from our 'major accounts' sector. Working across such a large span of industries, from Casinos to Wineries, is exciting. My day-to-day typically includes several internal and external meetings to align on strategy/priorities for the current month and analyze past performances. I also spend most of the day bouncing around between Google Ads/Analytics, Meta Ads, WordPress, and Jira. Overall, it is my responsibility to make sure my clients are happy with their digital marketing performance, while also managing our internal tech teams to implement our strategic decisions.
Do you have a favorite marketing tool or resource that you use in your everyday work?
My favorite marketing tool are the planning tools that Google Ads has such as Performance and Keyword Planners. Using these for planning different scenarios or when clients launch new products/services is nice.
What is your role as an AMA PDX volunteer?
I am the Director of Website for the AMA PDX Board of Directors.
Do you have any achievements from your volunteer role that you’d like to share?
I am newer to the board, but I was recently part of the AMA Agency program which was rewarding to be able to help a local nonprofit organization! I was one of the team leaders in defining their digital marketing strategy and highlighting the best ways to reach their audience.
What do you enjoy most about your volunteer experience?
I most enjoy getting to work beside highly talented marketing folks and giving back to the robust marketing and communications community in Portland.
What are your favorite hobbies?
My favorite hobbies are hanging out with my fiancee and taking advantage of the amazing food and drink places around Oregon, playing mini golf, exploring PNW nature, and watching a good movie.
What are some of your favorite parts about living in the Pacific Northwest?
It's great to be an Oregonian! Some of my favorite parts of the PNW are the weather (controversial, I know!), the amazing food, the unique people, and the stunning views. It’s a treat living in Portland and being less than a 2-hour drive from either the ocean or a mountain.
